Other Things

Jo's been doing a monthly Give-away and I was the lucky winner in April. And just look what I won....cool, huh?!?!?!? I was surprised that she actually just stuck it in the mail like a regular postcard! And even more surprising was the fact that it arrived in Texas, from New Zealand, in PERFECT condition. Not a single snag on a stitch - WOW - how often does that happen? LOL.

CQ Postcard

I have been a big fan of Jo's work for a very long time. Her creativity never ceases to amaze me. In this case, she has used 2 pieced of wire ribbon as the background for the postcard, which never occurred to me. DUH!!! And luckily I have gobs of it to put to use.

If you aren't familiar with her (ya, right!) or if you haven't been visiting for awhile, you should stop by her blog or her flickr. She's always got something going and the eye candy is a must see! Thanks again, JO!

Another cool thing that's going on is a new "Social Network" called Stitchinfingers set up by Sharon B. You can imagine the interest it's generating. And yes, of course, I joined! It's turning out to be a great place to gather, visit, share ideas, see old friends, make new ones, start or join a project, etc. Leave it to Sharon to keep bringing us together and giving us an opportunity to challenge ourselves!

Let's see, what else???? Oh yeah, I found some more beads that I just couldn't live without. See what I mean???? LOL. Some where on clearance at Wal*Mart but the others I found (believe it or not) at Dollar Tree while shopping with my mom in the Phoenix area. My local Dollar Tree never has Blue Moon beads or bead trim like this. But then again, I found lots of neat stuff there that I've never found here. Oh well....

Speaking of mom and Phoenix - I just got back from a wonderful nearly week long trip. DH had business at the end of the week, so I went early to visit with family and met up with him later. Maybe that post will be next.....

Until Next time...Happy Needling!!!

I also found a great item at the dollar tree. I think it's my favorite of the dollar stores.
