In the short time that we had together your unconditional love filled our lives with happiness, and our hearts with joy.

Your passing leaves us forever changed.

Are You Right or Left Brained?
The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

    Roses 3 RR

Believe it or not....I've actually joined in a Round Robin, again. I know it's been ages but this one caught my attention. Here is my naked block that I will send out tomorrow. (OMG, look how crooked the right top and bottom look....I need to go fix this before it goes out - ARRRRGGGGG!)

As you can see, I have chosen a gold and black theme here. And quite a different shape than in the past.  The center piece is a silky that I printed out. I know you can't see it in the photo but it reads:

A gold rose signifies joy and friendship

I also used Martha Green's piecing method for all of these blocks.  But I have to admit, there was far more waste than I expected, and it took far more time and effort to piece than I had expected.  I'm happy that I actually tried it but I will probably NOT use this method again for piecing crazy quilt blocks.

Anyway, I can hardly wait to see what the other ladies in this RR will do with it. When it's finished, I'm hoping to make a wall hanging out of it. This photo is a rough idea of what I have planned for it.  I'm even considering making 3 separate panels.  But in the end, who knows what it will become.  The fun will be in the surprise!

The other 4 pieces also have a printed rose silky and they read:

Only is a rose so beautiful,
As to take your breath away.
To fill your heart with warmth,
And bring joy throughout the day.

Hopefully, the RR will stay on track and I'll have my completed block back, and the other four blocks worked, by the time the roses in my yard begin to bloom!

    Until Next time...Happy Needling!!!

Good to hear from you, girlfriend! I'm glad to see you're still up for round robins. This looks like it will be a beauty! For some reason updates to your blog stopped being listed on my reader. I've added it back, so maybe it will work this time. Thanks for your kind words, and see you again soon.
