OWOH - The Winners Are......

DRUM ROLL PLEASE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Cell Phone pouch goes to commenter #276: MandaPanda. She left this comment, "Wow, what beautiful giveaways, and a great blog to match! I can't believe you don't have more comments as the pouch is just awesome! Please enter my name into the hat!" on February 7th at 6:43 PM.

The Betty Boop fabric goes to commenter #44: Bibi. She left this comment, "ooh - what scrumptious goodies! Please enter me. I'm at www.bibscrap.blogspot.com, and am planning to participate too, but only found out about this today, so won't get my giveaway together until the weekend - do check back then" on January 20th at 8:54 AM.

The Journal package goes to commenter #224: Nellie. She left this comment, "Wow! Add me to this long list of people lined up for your wonderful gifts. Thank you." on January 31st at 9:07 PM.

Congrats, ladies! I will be contacting you personally very shortly.

I would also like to say, "THANK YOU SO MUCH" to everyone who took the time to stop by and enter. The finally tally was 317 - WOW! How cool.

I had so much fun doing this. And I did my best to visit the other participants on the Gypsy Caravan but with 911, I'm afraid it became an impossible task. LOL.

Just a quick note to explain how the winners for my give aways were chosen, so that there won't be any eye-brows raised or questions.

As the comments came in I approved them and placed the confirmation email in a separate folder. I allowed comments until 11:59 PM on February 11, 2009 (my time). Unfortunately, I did have to reject the 2 comments that were left late.

Next I used the Random Number Generator (RNG) to pick my numbers. I had 317 comments, for 3 prizes. I set up the RNG to use numbers between 1 and 317 and to arrange them in 3 columns. I took the top/first number from each column.

I then went back to my blog comments and counted (three times) the comments and chose the winners, in the original order by using the date stamp on the comment.

I have taken extra care to ensure that there was no mistakes in my counting/choosing. BUT if anyone happens to find a mistake, please contact me immediately and I will get it rectified. Because I have announced the winners based on my calculations, I will add additional prizes if necessary.

This is an amazing video. It's short and contains an important message.

When is a Bra not a Bra????

I found this information over at Nellie's blog.

Isn't this too cute????

You have to see these bras - they are just awsome, and funny, and unique, and sort of strange....ArtFul Bras

Color My World

I found this quiz over at Sara's blog. I visit her often and there is always something fun, or interesting, or new or...... Anyway, as with most quizes of this type they are fairly subjective BUT I kind of like this one.

Your rainbow is intensely shaded indigo, violet, and green.

What is says about you: You are a creative person. You feel strong ties to nature and your mood changes with its cycles. Those around you admire your fresh outlook and vitality. Friends count on you for being honest and insightful.

Find the colors of your rainbow at spacefem.com.

Until Next time...Happy Needling!!!

Updates on Swaps

This is Karen's block after my work. I copied the dragonfly that Pat put on the center heart. I also added some roses and what were supposed to be iris'. I followed the directions exactly but still didn't get the same effect. I'm starting to get really frustrated with trying to make flowers look like flowers. Finally, I added the black and gold trim and vintage lace and the bead treatment. Anyway, I hope that Karen likes what I added, and will be understanding about the flower faux pas.

This is what her full block looks like as I prepare to mail it on to Cathy.

These are the goodies that I received from Phyllis for Mindy's Valentine's Day Swap. Phyllis had decorated up the box they came in, which really set the stage for what I discovered inside. There was this little handcrafted felt quilty piece with a heart in the center. Some pretty bows wrapped around other pretty things. And of course....CANDY!!!

Is this card darling or what???? I love it. Phyllis even made the envelope and wrapped it all up in a darling little orange box. She also included some lovely personalized note cards and envelopes (again!) I wonder if Mindy told her that I collect "G" things? Either way, it was the perfect gift.

These are the goodies that I sent to Phyllis. I'm not a card maker, so I bought one but I did take great care in choosing it. I also chose these two little nesting boxes with inspirational sayings. And who can't use an extra box or two? Now for the sweet stuff....I sent the Mocha Cappuccino mostly because I just loved the little tin. And lastly, a bag of little mints in assorted flavors of chocolate.

I know she liked it all because she already said THANKS! The best part about these types of swaps (for me) is that you get to meet such friendly and generous internet friends. Thanks to Phyllis and Mindy!

Katy's 2 FQ Swap introduced me to Maxine in England. Look at what she sent me, all tucked into this cute, little, pink bag. It's to die for! She also made the tiny bag, which she stuffed with assorted buttons, a ring of laces and ribbons, and a crochet pin. And of course - 2 FQ's with a sweet note card. How cool that she put forth so much effort to make these things for me. I'm truly flattered.

The items I sent to her include a pincushion and wine bag that I made. Some fun buttons, glass beads, 2 FQ's and a note card. I hope she likes it as much as I liked mine.

Well, that's it for now. I've got errands to run, a contractor to check on, a furbaby to play with, yada, yada, yada. Thanks for stopping by and -
