Checking In

Awards

Mindy honored me with a "Friends" award on January 20th. I'm just now getting around to publicly thanking her. (Shame on me!) I'm proud to be considered among her friends. Mindy is a genuinely sweet and caring person. She is amazing in her ability to juggle so many balls at once. She adores her children and better yet....they adore her too. THANK YOU, MINDY.

This is the sentiment of the award:

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

And with my head hung in shame, I apologize all over the place for not having the time to pass it on. I've spent so much time chasing my tail lately that I'm lucky to be able to take a breath.

Another award that came as a surprise, comes from Charlotte. She has nominated me for the "Lemonade" award.

"This is an award for people who know how to make lemonade out of the lemons that Life sometimes hand you. It is also a award for blogs that have a good Attitude and plenty of Gratitude. Your attitude is not determined by circumstances, but by how you respond to your circumstances. It’s how you react to events, not the events themselves, that determines your attitude."

"In accepting this award, you/we are asked to put the logo on your blog or post. Nominate at least 10 blogs, which show great attitude and/or gratitude!Be sure to link to your nominees within your post. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog. Share the love and link to this post, and to the person from whom you received your award. I am bestowing this award upon some wonderful bloggers whom I love to visit: Please stop by and visit these wonderful blogs."

I'm so sorry that I cannot accept this wonderful award because I simply cannot pass it on at this time.

Remodeling

My gosh, I cannot believe how time flies. Especially, since we've been stuck in our remodeling nightmare! Actually, it's not been sooooo bad but it has started to get really tiresome. We still don't have our kitchen back yet. And washing dishes in a bathroom sink is not fun. Oh well......

Don't get me wrong, our contractor is doing a wonderful job but we keep adding and changing things which only add to the confusion. We also made a serious mistake with our first choice of paint colors. Which meant repainting. YIKES~~~~

So, what's keeping me so busy??? Here's an example:

In the midst of all of this, I'm also in 2 RR's. Here's the work I've done on Marya's block

And Karen's

I have received confirmation that all of my OWOH giveaways have been received by the winners. Thanks for letting me know!

I also received 2 lovely hand crafted cards which I will post photos of soon (I hope). One is a Valentine's Day card from Mindy and the other from Nancy as part of her OWOH give aways.

Well, I have errands to run and painting to work on.

Until Next time...Happy Needling!!!

Wow, Gerry, you sure have a lot of energy as well as great design instincts! Your house is shaping up beautifully; I hope you'll post some more photos of your kitchen when it's done.
And the stitching as always is wonderful. I LOVE the dragonfly!

You have such a lovely blog. I get so busy with my own blog that I don't make the rounds of some of my favorites very often but you are one of them. Today,I am visiting my favorites. I love the music of Phil Coulter. Your remodeling looks wonderful! Isn't it interesting that we can have so much of that kind of thing going on and still get the creative things done, too? Enjoy your day!

It must be great to see progress. All the turmoil doesn't interfere with your beautiful stitching! That may be the ticket to saving your patience! Love ya, GirlFriend!
