I've decided to make 2 blocks. I don't know yet if we can swap more than one, I'll need to check into that. But I'm going to embellish it anyway.
I used more solids for this one because I want to try my hand at hieroglyphics. No pun intended. I found some really great websites surfing around, and I learned a few things too. BONUS!
Dinner's in the oven and almost done. Got to go. Happy Needling!

Ummm - I like this one, too. You can swap as many as you like. "Get back as many as you send in."
Hey there sweet thing! OMG! I think this block is stunning, stunning!! And hon, you can do as many as you like (I am trying for four). What rich colors and textures on this puppy! I cannot wait to see the progression on this. Please make sure you let me know when you updated okay?
Thanks for your fabulous kudos on Bast, she was fun to do! And of course your support and kindness on the USS New York post. I love this country hon, with every fiber of my being, and tho we are not perfect, and we have problems, there is no place on earth where I would rather be. And I am tired of this country being dragged through the mud and dispised by every nation in the world. And I and tired of everyone thinking this is "one stop dumping ground". It took Al 12 years to become a citizen and he is pretty angry about this, and his papa died from cancer because of working in those mines so that he could have enough money to come to this country and give his family a better life.
Okay, where did you get that cute little Schnauzer mouse thingy? HA! Your blog is always such a beautiful place to visit with all your pretty things. I have not attempted mine yet, but believe me, when I do I will be yelling your name.
Have a good one darlin!
Hi Gerry!
Thanks for swinging by my blog...
These Egyptian blocks are cool! I love how crazy quilters are delving into interesting new themes in their work.
Have fun with this!

VERY COOL!
What do you end up doing with all of your blocks?
Gosh, I'm so flattered that you all have stopped by with such nice things to say. Thank you sooooo much!
That's even prettier against the black background. no freeze-up today!
I agree. Black would be a great choice for framing this block!
